At 7.29pm on Wednesday 3rd February 2016 art fans around the UK were poised and ready to take part in our live #SketchOff. And at 7.30pm we could finally announce the image that you all would have just 90 minutes to sketch; the wonderful Roald Dahl who would’ve been 100 years old this year.
All was quiet as the Sketch Off got underway, but as the clock ticked on we started to get a glimpse of your works in progress. Splendid outlines, gorgeous shading and an undeniable likeness to our muse were already in motion, and as we got close to our 9pm deadline your finished submissions blew us away. Take a look at a selection of some of the fantastic art we received below and don’t forget to keep an eye on the #MakeAStartInArt hashtag to find out what time next month’s sketch off will take place. See you there!
*We have attempted to include as many submissions as possible in our gallery, but unfortunately we could not include everyone. All submissions have been considered for our competition prizes, and you still have every chance of winning even if you can’t spot your artwork in our gallery*
