After a few weeks of really challenging our #SketchOff followers with images of rolling landscapes and intricate portraits, we took it back to basics with a simple pair of red trainers to allow our sketchers to show off their technique and personality. Now, although we say “simple” red trainers, we’re sure experienced sketchers weren’t fooled when they saw those weaving laces and rounded toes.
Nevertheless, when we revealed the image at 7.30pm on the 3rd of May our followers got stuck in (some even took on the extra challenge of joining in during their train journey!) and produced some incredible images. Using a variety of materials, including sharpies, pastels, felt tip pens, hb pencils, watercolours, acrylics, fineliners and more, we received a wonderful selection of styles and interpretations.
Take a look at some of the fantastic submissions we received below and don’t forget to join us on the 17th May at 7.30pm for the next #SketchOff. We’ll see you there!
*We have attempted to include as many submissions as possible in our gallery, but unfortunately we could not include everyone. All submissions have been considered for our competition prizes, and your art will have had every chance of winning even if you can’t spot your artwork in our gallery*
