- 40g unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons of maple syrup
- 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon
- 250ml Calvados
- 250ml apple juice
- 600ml cider
Gently melt the butter, syrup and cinnamon in a heavy bottomed pan.
Pour over the Calvados and heat through.
Add the apple juice and cider and warm thoroughly for a couple of minutes, being careful not to boil.
Ladle into mugs and top with a sprinkling of freshly grated nutmeg.
