Your Tulips Live Sketches #SketchOff #MakeAStartInArt

Monday 20th March marked the beginning of spring so, to celebrate the lighter evenings and warmer weather, we chose a stunning spring scene as the subject for #SketchOff. One of the prettiest and most colourful first signs of spring is newly bloomed flowers, like the delicate daffodils and tulips we asked our sketchers to draw.

Revealing the image at 7:30pm on Wednesday 22nd March, our sketchers were given just 90 minutes to show us what they can do and, as always, they wowed us with their amazing work. Using a wide variety of materials, from watercolours and felt tips to oil pastels and pencils, they perfectly captured the fragility of the flowers and the way the spring sun shines through their petals. The pink and purple hues contrasted with the fresh green grass gave our sketchers a fantastic opportunity to play with colour and each drawing demonstrates their fantastically unique style.
