Frank English signing Juniper’s Tale and other titles
WHSmith Leeds, LS1 6AW
Saturday 13th April from 11am
Come and meet local author Frank English at WHSmith Ormskirk on Saturday 16th March from 11am. Frank will be signing copies of Junipers Tale, Honey and other titles
A tiny black kitten, with a white tip to his tail and grey tips to his little ears, mysteriously appears in a cardboard box in the juniper bush outside the front door of the Warwick’s home at Number 18 Mulberry Road. There is a note attached to the box, asking for someone to give him a home. Where did he come from, and why is he in a box outside this particular house owned by this particular family? This is a tale about the origin of David Warwick’s pet cat, Juniper, and how he becomes so important to the family and to all the wildlife that visits its back garden. There is magic afoot when he meets and befriends a vixen cub in a magical forest over a rickety fence through Mr Grace’s tumbling, jungly, back garden …
Frank is a serial writer. His debut Magic Parcels series have been quickly followed by his illustrated animal stories, 18 Mulberry Road, 25 Primrose Walk and Winters Tale, Autumn Adventures and now Towards Spring. All have been very successful with Frank now working regularly with primary schools throughout the North of England promoting and running workshops in creative writing. His latest releases is targeted at the ‘grown up’ market and loosely based on his childhood. Jack the Lad was the first of another series in which Frank takes us through a journey of laughter and tears. His follow on titles Jack and the latest Hit the Road Jack are being well received. Supported by his present wife, Denise, he achieved a Master’s degree in his mid-forties and a PhD at the age of fifty-six, because he had always wanted to do so. Now enjoying glorious retirement, he spends as much time as life will allow writing, reading and travelling.
